About Jess
Hi, my name is Jess Tew and I'm the Dog Trainer behind Peak Dog Services. I’m an Animal Behaviour and Training (BSc Hons) graduate in the County Durham area here to help with your dogs every need.
As a positive reward-based trainer, who uses only the most up to date science based methods to teach dogs, I will never use force or negative handling in any of my training or walking sessions.

​I’m an experienced Dog Trainer, having worked professionally with dogs in rescue centres and loving homes for the past 8 years.
During this time I have been running group dog training classes and 1-2-1 training appointments for a large re-homing charity, Dogs Trust Dog School. I have worked with countless different breeds with many different training issues and this has all enhanced my experience and skills .
I am always keen to keep up to date with my knowledge and regularly revise my methods with current research and studies. I am currently working on a six month scent course.

​I love working with dogs professionally, but it doesn’t stop there! My free time is devoted to my own dogs, two Cocker Spaniels who, as you can imagine, live to go on adventures with me whenever possible. They are my guinea pigs for training, and they love it!
They share with me my love of the mountains and we regularly head out to explore the beautiful, rugged landscape of the UK (and beyond!).
